Who Is Mrs Hannigan?

I am a quick-typing lady who writes faster than I think.  Sometimes I don’t even know what I am thinking until I type it.  I used to keep a personal journal, but Come ON, this is 2008.  I married my High School Sweetheart and am madly in love with him.  We’re raising and homeschooling our 6 lovely daughters. We’re not part of any religious group, and we’re not Hippies.  Life goes by so quickly, and this is my way of remembering things during this amazing time.

Mrs Hannigan

This is the original site.  Just the Blog of my life with my 6 daughters.  Started when I only had five daughters.   I married my High School Sweetheart and we are living happily ever after.

Mrs Hannigan’s Guide to Beauty

I am a licensed cosmetologist.  It sounds so Scientific, doesn’t it.  Sure, we save a bundle on haircare and I can whip up some fancy do’s but this blog is just me keeping up with the Industry.  At this writing, it has 2 posts.

Mrs Hannigan’s Craft Corner

I knit, I just learned to sew recently opened up my sewing machine and made something that didn’t suck until I realized the fabric was “going in the wrong direction.”  Is there a word for that?  It was ribbed & supposed to be stretchy in one direction but instead it was stretchy in another, very wrong way.  I’m still proud of it.  We’ll see what else transpires here.

My Cooking Blog.  In addition to owning an Italian restaurant, I feed my 6 kids every day.  We don’t eat refined white flour (OK except for Piza and Pasta on occasion)  When I bake, I use WHole Wheat.  We bake cookies every day, we bake bread as often as possible.  We don’t eat a lot of meat.  No artificial sweeteners.  More vegetables than most families.  More Desserts than most families.  I don’t buy pre-packaged items, but I do shop in bulk.  OOH- Top Ramen.  That is total garbage and we eat it.

Mrs Hannigan’s Road Trips on the Home School Bus

Traveling with my brood is a challenge, whether it’s a day trip or a train ride to Disneyworld.

Mrs Hannigan’s Guide to Borders, Netflix and Hollywood

Mr. Hannigan used to be a “Grip” and then a “Key Grip” when we got out of High School.  A lot of people don’t even know what that is.  It’s not the guy who holds the keys either (That would make WAY too much sense.) As the years went by, he worked as  a Cameraman and then as a Director of Photography.

That Interest, in addition to being a Mom whose kids are influenced by the Media spawned this blog.  It’s my film reviews, book reviews, bits of gossip, and things like that.  Enjoy.
